Plain-language summary
- Post only material you created, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to share.
- You are responsible for the rights to music, audio, and video you upload; a purchase, subscription, or artist credit is not by itself permission to publish it.
- A copyright owner or authorized representative can submit a written notice through the copyright form or copyright contact below.
- A user whose material was removed because of a DMCA notice may send a legally complete counter-notice if the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification.
- Non-consensual intimate imagery has a separate urgent removal process.
This summary is provided for convenience. The complete Policy below controls.
1. Respect for copyright
Jornio respects intellectual-property rights and expects users to do the same. Users may post only content they created, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally allowed to share.
Uploaded music, audio, and video
You are responsible for obtaining the permissions needed for all material you upload, including background music, songs, recordings, performances, and third-party video clips. A song's musical composition and its sound recording may have different copyright owners; permission for one does not necessarily cover the other. You must have the rights needed to combine that material with your video and to publish and share the result through Jornio, unless a legal exception applies.
Buying a recording, subscribing to a music or video service, crediting a creator, or seeing material publicly available online does not by itself authorize its upload or use in a Jornio Episode. Uploading, transcoding, or making content available through Jornio does not establish that the uploader has cleared its rights.
Music supplied through a Jornio catalog
If Jornio offers licensed catalog music, the permission for each track is limited to the uses, territory, duration, and other conditions stated for that track. A track or artist credit identifies the selected catalog music; it does not certify the rights to the rest of an Episode. A catalog license does not cover unrelated music or video you upload and does not automatically grant rights to download, redistribute, sell, or use the track outside Jornio.
Jornio's legal obligations
The user's content responsibilities do not waive Jornio's own obligations under applicable law. The DMCA's Section 512 safe harbors are conditional limitations on liability, not an automatic or absolute exemption for every user upload. This Policy does not claim that publishing it, assigning responsibility to users, or receiving a request alone establishes safe-harbor eligibility.
When appropriate, link to third-party material instead of copying or reuploading it. A link does not authorize copying the linked work.
2. Before submitting a notice
A DMCA notice is a legal request for a copyright owner or a person authorized to act for the owner. Consider whether the disputed use is licensed, in the public domain, or permitted by law, including fair use.
If you are depicted in an intimate image but do not own its copyright, use the intimate-image removal process. For trademark, impersonation, privacy, or publicity concerns, use the support form.
3. Copyright takedown notices
Send a written copyright notice through the copyright form or to copyright@cadenium.com. A notice intended for the DMCA process should contain substantially all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or a representative list if one notice covers multiple works.
- Identification of the material claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient for Jornio to locate it, such as the exact Jornio URL, Journey, Episode, account, or content identifier.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Formal designated-agent details are published below when the registration is active. A contact email, department name, or this Policy alone does not establish that an agent is registered or that Jornio qualifies for a Section 512 safe harbor.
4. Jornio's response
We will act expeditiously to remove or disable access to material identified in a substantially compliant copyright notice and take reasonable steps to promptly notify the user who provided it. We may share the notice with that user. When a notice identifies the copyrighted work, the reported material, and a way to contact the sender but lacks other required information, we will contact the sender or take other reasonable steps to help obtain the missing information.
We may preserve the notice, related communications, and limited evidence as described in the Privacy Policy. A removal decision under this process is not a determination by a court that infringement occurred.
5. Counter-notices
If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright notice and you believe the action resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may send a written response through the same copyright contact. For a counter-notice under the DMCA, include substantially all of the following and use the registered designated-agent contact when published:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the material removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district where your address is located, or, if you are outside the United States, the federal district where Cadenium LLC may be found.
- A statement that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice or that person's agent.
Send the signed counter-notice to copyright@cadenium.com or the registered designated-agent contact above and identify the original notice or case when available. The website's infringement-notice form is for copyright claimants; do not use its ownership/infringement declaration to submit a counter-notice. The counter-notice may be shared with the original claimant. It is a legal declaration, not an ordinary moderation appeal.
6. What happens after a counter-notice
For a valid counter-notice handled under the DMCA, we will promptly send a copy to the person who submitted the original notice and inform them of the proposed restoration. Unless that person notifies Jornio that they filed a court action seeking to restrain the alleged infringement, Jornio may restore the material not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after receiving the counter-notice. An ordinary support acknowledgement does not itself start or complete that restoration process.
Restoration may still be denied if the material violates another law, the Terms of Service, the Community Guidelines, or another applicable policy.
7. Repeat infringers
Jornio's policy is to terminate accounts of users who repeatedly infringe copyright in appropriate circumstances. We may also restrict content or suspend accounts while a matter is reviewed. We may consider valid notices, counter-notices, court outcomes, account history, repeat behavior, and attempts to evade enforcement. Repeat-infringer action does not require a final court judgment in every case.
8. Misrepresentations
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation in a notice or counter-notice may create legal liability, including damages, costs, and attorneys' fees. Do not misuse the copyright process to remove criticism, competition, or material you do not own.
9. Other rights and requests
This Policy addresses copyright under the U.S. DMCA. It does not resolve trademark, patent, privacy, publicity, defamation, contract, or other disputes.

- General legal or impersonation concern: Open the support form
- Privacy request: Start a privacy request
